As we head into the peak selling/buying months in Summit County it is important to know that our mountain resort communities are holding strong on to the price gains made in the past and they continue to break new grounds here in the first part of 2022. Another of my favorite places in Summit County is the Breckenridge area. With its renowned reputation for skiing and ski town charm it can only be described as quintessential Colorado. Just a short drive off of I-70 and Colorado Highway 9, it is a bustling ski town in the winter with its quiet “mud season” in between it and the summer/fall event calendar. If you are looking to be in the middle of the action, you will find it here, although you can find your areas of seclusion if that is what you are looking for. Prices on residential properties, which includes condos, townhomes and single-family homes have seen modest growth in the first part of 2022, topping out at an outstanding $1,711,974 average sales price. This is up 15.2% from year end 2021. Land prices are seeing a bit of a drop in the first few months of 2022 with the average sales price down 7.2% to $569,707. Come explore Summit County and if you find it the playground you want to call home or maybe call a second home contact us today.
